FESTIVAL ATTENDEE FAQs

What is ROC The Taste?

ROC The Taste is a brand new free festival blending the best of what Rochester has to offer – incredible food, outstanding live music and entertainment. Local restaurants and vendors will be featuring their specialty food items, authentic merchandise and everything in between. The event will take over Parcel 5 and surrounding streets for a fun-filled weekend of summer entertainment on July 27 and 28 from 11 am to 11 pm rain or shine.  Each food vendor will be offering a $1 sample item, plus many regularly priced delectable edibles so you can truly taste the best of what the Rochester food community has to offer. Enjoy a glass of wine or an ice cold beer as you take in the live music, and enjoy a variety of delicious food. Admission to the event is FREE for festival attendees! ROC The Taste is owned and operated by Galaxy Events, a division of Galaxy Communications.

Where and When is it?

ROC The Taste is happening on July 27 and 28 at and around Parcel 5, from 11 am to 11 pm both days – rain or shine. We’ll be posting a map and listing of all vendors when it gets closer to ROC the Taste time!

Where Do I Park?

There are numerous parking garages in close proximity to the Parcel 5 site. On-street parking will also be available around the festival site.

I’m Gluten Free. What Can I Eat?

Each vendor decides their own menu, so we invite you to call the restaurant directly to ask what they plan on serving. We encourage vegetarian and gluten-free options whenever possible.

May I Bring in My Own Food or Drinks?

No outside food, or beverages (including alcohol) will be allowed. The vendors work hard to bring you a tasty variety of menu offerings and we strongly encourage you to support them. All food vendors will be offering a $1 sample of a food item. Beer, wine and wine slushies will be available for purchase.

Will there be ATM Machines On-Site?

Yes, ATM machines will be available on-site.

Is ROC The Taste Handicapped Accessible?

Yes, the event is downtown on city streets and in the Parcel 5 lot.
